CTS Foundation provides career training scholarships to help individuals receive training in high-demand fields to increase earning potential, receive credentials and accelerate advancement.Â
In today’s competitive marketplace, advanced skills and training matter more than ever. CTS Foundation’s mission is to help students access the funding they need for career training in high-demand industries of their choice. We are not a training facility or program. Instead, all programs are vetted by our scholarship foundation to meet and exceed the needs of students.
The primary focus of the CTS Foundation Scholarship is to assist students with tuition, fees and book expenses through need-based and merit-based scholarships.
All scholarship applicants are required to apply for financial aid. Financial aid awards, including current scholarship balances/awards, will be considered in the scholarship awards process.
Scholarship recipients are selected through an online application process. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis every six months (for example, an application submitted between January 1 and June 30 will receive a decision by July 31; an application submitted between July 1 and December 31 will receive a decision by January 31 of the following year).
Scholarship recipients receive between $1,000 and $2,500.
Finalists are contacted by email and may be asked to schedule an interview with the CTSF Board of Directors, which will be conducted via Zoom.

a) Two reference letters from a current or former teacher and/or employer.
b) A one-page essay explaining how you envision using your training after graduation to help better your community.
c) An official school transcript.
3. Finalists will be notified by email for a Zoom call.

The number of scholarships varies depending on the year, applicant, etc. The amount varies between $1,000 and $2,500 depending on the need(s) of the candidate.
CTSF is not a training facility or program. Applicants may apply for funding to the career training program of their choice in any field, but all programs will be vetted by Career Training Scholarship Foundation.
Awards are announced by mail the first week of June each year. Award recipients who do not respond are then contacted by phone. All applicants will be notified by email when the award list is posted at unionplus.org/scholarships by mid-June each year. Please note that due to the volume of applications we cannot provide any information on the status of an application before award announcements are made.
